First of all I decided to start with the tooth pick base of voodoo letters to try different variants. They should all be done in the same kind of style to create united typeface. I didn’t want to break toothpicks, which in some way could help to be more detailed, but on the other hand would make the letterforms more complicated. But “simplicity” is the key in voodoo making.
